Job Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver assigned work packages, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, configuration, and acceptance.
  • Create and maintain detailed delivery plans, including milestones, resources, delivery gates, acceptance criteria, and deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate delivery teams and third-party suppliers to achieve project objectives.
  • Translate programme and contract requirements into technical and delivery tasks with traceability to acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee integration of network security and monitoring components and resolve technical issues.
  • Plan and manage verification, validation, qualification, integration testing, system validation, penetration testing, and vulnerability management activities.
  • Ensure secure deployment, cutover, operational handover, training, and customer acceptance.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Maintain configuration management for technical deliverables, documentation, SOPs, and maintenance materials.
  • Act as the main customer contact for delivery matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and programme requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, IEC 62443, IM8, CCoP, NIST).
  • Promote continuous improvement in delivery, security, and operational resilience.
  • Support proposals, commercial discussions, and scope changes when required.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, monitoring engineering, or similar technical roles.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one cybersecurity domain, product, or vendor.
  • Experience delivering projects for Government, Defence, or Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) customers.
  • Experience conducting cybersecurity risk management exercises.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiar with: Cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and terminology. Networking concepts, TCP/IP, segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security. Cybersecurity standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, IM8, CCoP, IEC 62443, NIST CSF). Verification, validation, and qualification processes.IT Service Management (ITSM) and configuration management. Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
  • Personal projects or home labs are an advantage.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory (one or more):

  • Degree in Information Security (preferred), Information Technology, or Computer Science.
  • CISSP.
  • CISM.
  • Security+, Network+, or CCNA.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or APM).

Preferred:

  • CISSP-ISSAP.
  • CISSP-ISSEP.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Competent in Network security, network monitoring, and IDS/IPS.
  • Practical understanding of backup, recovery, and business continuity.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and customizing COTS security products.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and secure software development.
  • Experience with system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to develop and execute system test plans and validation procedures.

Project & Delivery Support Skills

  • Translate customer requirements into security solution designs.
  • Support testing and coordinate with multiple teams.
  • Manage project risks, opportunities, and subcontractors.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Provide implementation guidance, training materials, and deployment support.
  • Familiar with service delivery and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering teams, delivery managers, and customers.
