Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their security function and support the operation and enhancement of enterprise-wide security capabilities.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on with security technologies, troubleshooting technical issues and working across different security domains. You will also collaborate with technology teams, external security partners and service providers to maintain strong security coverage across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a range of enterprise security platforms, ensuring systems are stable, effective and operating as intended.
• Configure, troubleshoot and optimise security solutions covering endpoint, network, cloud, application and infrastructure environments.
• Partner with internal teams, MSSPs and technology vendors to investigate security issues, resolve incidents and improve service performance.
• Support security monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response and control enhancement activities across the environment.
• Contribute to security projects and technology improvements, including emerging areas such as AI security, cryptographic resilience and automation.

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security engineering, security operations or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR, WAF, IDS/IPS, email security, vulnerability management, cloud security or attack surface management.
• Strong technical understanding of security monitoring, security controls, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, tune and optimise security technologies, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside security vendors, MSSPs and technology teams.
