With continued expansion across Asia, the company is now looking to strengthen its Credit Risk and Underwriting capability in Singapore
Job Description
- Conduct credit assessments on SME suppliers and international buyers, reviewing financial statements, credit reports and trade data to determine creditworthiness.
- Prepare credit proposals and recommend appropriate credit limits, financing structures and risk mitigants in line with internal credit policies.
- Evaluate credit exposures across receivables financing, factoring and supply chain financing structures.
- Track financial performance, payment behaviour and covenant compliance while identifying early warning indicators across counterparties.
- Support the enhancement of credit policies, underwriting frameworks and internal risk processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 5 years of credit underwriting or credit risk experience covering SME clients within financial institutions, trade finance providers or fintech lenders.
- Experience with receivables finance, factoring, supply chain finance, SME lending or trade finance would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to analyse financial statements, interpret credit reports and produce structured credit assessments.
- Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to assess credit risk across multiple industries and counterparties.
