What you do

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Structurer to design, execute, and manage bespoke credit solutions for institutional, corporate, and private wealth clients. The role focuses on loan repackaging transactions, SPV establishment, note issuance, credit tranching, and capital-efficient structuring to meet client investment, risk, and regulatory objectives.

The candidate will work closely with trading, sales, legal, risk management, external trustees, and service providers to deliver scalable and innovative structured credit offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Structuring & Execution
  • Structure loan repackaging and asset-backed issuance across various asset classes (corporate loans, trade finance assets, mortgages, secured lending portfolios, etc.).
  • Design and implement SPV structures (or orphan vehicles) including incorporation, documentation, and ongoing corporate governance.
  • Develop CLO/tranching frameworks (senior, mezzanine, subordinated) and determine attachment/detachment points, enhancement levels, and cashflow waterfalls.
  • Build and run transaction cashflow models, expected loss calculations, IRR/YTM models, and stress testing scenarios.
  • Lead the execution of note issuances including term sheets, offering circulars, and investor presentations.
  • Set up Significant Risk Transfer capabilities
  • Credit Analysis & Risk Management
  • Assess underlying collateral performance, credit quality, correlation risks, concentration risk, and portfolio behaviour.
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Treasury to ensure regulatory capital, liquidity, and risk appetite requirements are met.
  • Implement hedging strategies where relevant (CDS, TRS, rate hedges, FX overlays).
  • CrossFunctional Coordination
  • Work with Legal, Operations, and external counsel to design transaction documentation (trust deeds, swap agreements, security packages, subscription agreements, etc.).
  • Coordinate with administrators, trustees, paying agents, custodians, and auditors during transaction setup and lifecycle.
  • Partner with Sales & Relationship Managers to tailor solutions to client needs and support client pitches and RFPs.
  • Product Development & Innovation
  • Develop new structured credit products, platforms, and solutions for institutional and wealth channels.
  • Identify regulatory developments and market trends that create structuring opportunities (e.g., capital relief trades, ESGlinked credit solutions, private credit funding structures).
  • Maintain and enhance internal models, databases, and structuring tools.
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all structures adhere to internal risk policies, rating methodologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Support ongoing transaction monitoring, reporting, and lifecycle events such as resets, substitutions, or amortization triggers.

Who you are

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or mathematics
  • At least 15 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a global markets or investment banking environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
