We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Specialist to oversee credit risk management across the firm's investment platform, with a focus on OTC derivatives, Lombard lending (margin financing), and structured investment products.
This role will be responsible for establishing and managing credit risk frameworks, overseeing counterparty risk, and ensuring robust margin and collateral practices across securities and derivatives activities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in derivatives credit risk with practical experience in Lombard lending and margin financing.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Risk Management
- Assess and manage counterparty credit risk across OTC derivatives, structured products, and marginable securities.
- Perform credit analysis and determine appropriate credit limits, margin requirements, and collateral terms.
- Monitor exposures and ensure risks remain within approved limits.
OTC Derivatives Credit Oversight
- Review and approve credit exposure for OTC derivative transactions, including:
- Options (vanilla and structured)
- Forwards and swaps
- Structured derivatives
- Evaluate counterparty exposure using appropriate risk models and scenario analysis.
- Work with trading and structuring teams to ensure transactions are aligned with credit policies.
Lombard Lending & Margin Financing
- Oversee credit risk for Lombard lending portfolios, including margin financing against securities.
- Establish and maintain collateral eligibility rules, loan-to-value (LTV) ratios, and margin requirements.
- Monitor portfolio risk and ensure timely margin calls and risk mitigation actions.
Margin & Collateral Management
- Define and maintain margin and collateral frameworks for derivatives and financing activities.
- Ensure effective processes for margin calls, collateral monitoring, and liquidation protocols.
- Optimize collateral usage across products where applicable.
Risk Analytics & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain credit risk monitoring tools, including exposure dashboards and stress testing frameworks.
- Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing for market movements and counterparty risk.
- Work with technology and product teams to improve risk reporting and automation.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain and enforce credit risk policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and internal risk standards.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and risk reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 710 years of experience in credit risk, derivatives risk, or structured product risk within a bank, broker-dealer, or investment platform.
- Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives and counterparty credit risk.
- Experience with Lombard lending / margin financing against securities portfolios.
- Understanding of margining, collateral management, and exposure modelling.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with derivatives valuation models and exposure frameworks.
- Familiarity with risk systems, margin engines, or credit analytics platforms.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PRM.
