Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Quality: Prepare, cook, and garnish, or polish dishes before service, ensuring, consistency, taste, and correct portion control.
- Kitchen Leadership: Supervise, train, and provide guidance to junior cooks, dishwashers, and prep workers.
- Operations & Safety: Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure the workspace adheres strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Menu & Workflow: Plan menus, develop new recipes, and manage station workflow in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven, often 2-5 years, as a cook or in a similar culinary role.
- Skills: Strong culinary skills, multitasking abilities, leadership, and knowledge of various cooking methods (e.g., grill, oven, sous vide).
- Attributes: Good communication, ability to work in a team, and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Typical Physical Requirements
