Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Quality: Prepare, cook, and garnish, or polish dishes before service, ensuring, consistency, taste, and correct portion control.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Supervise, train, and provide guidance to junior cooks, dishwashers, and prep workers.
  • Operations & Safety: Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure the workspace adheres strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Menu & Workflow: Plan menus, develop new recipes, and manage station workflow in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven, often 2-5 years, as a cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Skills: Strong culinary skills, multitasking abilities, leadership, and knowledge of various cooking methods (e.g., grill, oven, sous vide).
  • Attributes: Good communication, ability to work in a team, and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Typical Physical Requirements

Regularly exposed to heat, steam, and noise.

Must be able to stand for long periods.
