Senior Controller
Purpose of the Position
The Controller ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, with a focus on manufacturing cost control and compliance. The role supports business performance through cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and ownership of key processes including SAP costing, CapEx, year-end closing, and regulatory reporting, while driving process improvements and strong internal controls.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead monthly closing and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, including analysis of cost development vs. budget.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting, providing clear insights and variance analysis.
- SAP Costing & Controlling: Own product costing (standard cost runs, cost roll-ups), ensure costing master data integrity, monitor inventory valuation and analyze production variances.
- CapEx: Oversee end-to-end CapEx process including investment evaluation, budget control, and asset capitalization in line with accounting standards.
- Year-End Closing & Audit: Coordinate Controlling-related year-end closing activities, coordinate audits, and ensure compliant financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Transfer Pricing: Support TP calculations, intercompany charges, and documentation in line with legal requirements.
- EDB Grants & Incentives: Coordinate and manage the financial aspects of EDB grants, including data collection, validation, reporting, audit support, and submission of claims in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
- Perform other duties as required.
Your Profile
Education
- BA in Accountancy or Business Administration, alternatively an equivalent qualication.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (IFRS preferred) and financial processes.
Experience
- At least 5-8 years of accounting and controlling experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to cost controlling preferred
- Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO)
- Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel & AfO (Analysis for Office)
- Experience in multinational environments or working with global stakeholders is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on role with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work across functions and cultures
