Job Location : Singapore
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Consultant with deep expertise in VMware vSphere, vDefend (NSX Advanced Threat Prevention), and AVI Load Balancer (NSX Advanced Load Balancer). In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize advanced virtualization and network virtualization solutions for enterprise and government clients. Due to project clearance requirements, this position is open to Singapore Citizens only.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of VMware vSphere environments for enterprise and government customers.
- Implement and manage vDefend / NSX Advanced Threat Protection for microsegmentation, intrusion detection, and threat prevention.
- Configure and optimize AVI Load Balancer for high availability, SSL offloading, and application performance.
- Conduct system assessments, health checks, upgrades, and migrations to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable architecture and implementation plans.
- Provide technical leadership during project delivery, working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Develop HLDs, LLDs, test plans, and operations handover documentation.
- Support pre-sales activities, contributing technical expertise to proposals and RFPs.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards across public and private sector projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on VMware experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of vSphere 6.x/7.x, ESXi, vCenter.
- Proven expertise in vDefend / NSX-T for network security and threat prevention.
- Hands-on skills in AVI Load Balancer / NSX Advanced Load Balancer configuration and management.
- Solid understanding of virtual networking, distributed switches, and (optionally) vSAN.
- Strong track record in enterprise consulting and customer-facing roles.
- Ability to produce comprehensive architecture and operational documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV).
- VMware NSX-T or AVI Load Balancer certifications.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
