What will you do:
Serve as a consulting partner to the client's leadership team, helping translate strategic priorities into actionable programmes, establish effective governance, and drive cross-functional alignment across business and technology domains. The role applies consulting rigour, structured problem-solving, and strong facilitation to support decision-making and resolve delivery challenges. In addition, you'll help to identify emerging client needs and shape transformation opportunities, contributing to a healthy pipeline and supporting commercial growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Transformation Design:
    • Support the client in shaping their transformation agenda by translating strategic priorities into clear programmes, workstreams, and outcomes.
    • Conduct structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, and data-backed recommendations to guide the client's leadership decision-making.
    • Define value cases, measurable KPIs, and success indicators to support the client's prioritisation and benefits realisation.
  2. Programme Governance:
    • Establish or enhance the client's Transformation Office governance, including cadence planning, reporting standards, escalation protocols, and decision rights.
    • Oversee cross-functional alignment across the internal teams, client stakeholders, business units, and technology groups to enable smooth delivery and manage interdependencies.
  3. Stakeholder & Senior Leadership Engagement
    • Partner closely with the NCS leadership, client's C-suite and senior executives to shape direction, facilitate alignment, and drive consensus on transformation priorities.
    • Prepare executive-ready materials such as steering committee packs, business cases, and transformation dashboards.
    • Design and facilitate high-impact workshops and strategic discussions tailored to the client's needs.
  4. Business Development & Value Realisation
    • Support opportunity shaping, proposal development, and value articulation for transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Policy, or related fields that demonstrate strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • 48 years of experience in management consulting, transformation consulting, or strategy roles.
  • Significant experience supporting or partnering with client stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Strong structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, and synthesis capabilities.
  • Excellent executive communication, including storytelling, persuasion, negotiation, and preparation of C-suiteready materials for clients.
  • Experience in government, technology, or regulated sectors is beneficial.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Strategic & Structured Thinker: Able to connect strategy to execution and bring clarity to ambiguity through structured analysis and synthesis.
  • Executive Presence & Influencing Skills: Comfortable working with senior leaders, guiding alignment, and shaping decisions through clear and persuasive communication.
  • High-Impact Facilitator & Collaborator: Skilled at designing and running workshops, co-creating solutions with diverse stakeholders, and building trusted advisory relationships.

Professional and/or Technical Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)

  • Prosci ADKAR or equivalent change management certification
  • Design Thinking certification (LUMA/ IDEO, or equivalent)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
