Senior Consultant, Software & Application (Banking Solutions) Japanese Speaking

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, development, configuration, and implementation of enterprise software solutions for core banking transformation programmes.

• Analyse business and functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and software solution designs.

• Develop, configure, and customise application components, interfaces, APIs, and system integrations to support banking applications.

• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Analyse system functionality, integration requirements, and data flows across enterprise banking applications.

• Support solution architects and senior developers in implementing technical solutions that align with business and operational requirements.

• Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, interface documents, and implementation artefacts.

• Collaborate with business users, solution architects, software engineers, and project teams to deliver enterprise software solutions.

• Participate in technical workshops, solution reviews, sprint planning, and implementation discussions.

• Track technical risks, issues, dependencies, and system impacts throughout project delivery.

• Prepare technical status reports, implementation documentation, and project updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, enterprise application development, system implementation, or digital transformation projects.

• Experience participating in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including software design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Experience developing, configuring, or implementing enterprise software applications within banking, financial services, or large-scale enterprise environments.

• Understanding of enterprise application architecture, software integration, and application security principles.

• Good to have experience in Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or other software development methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience collaborating with software engineers, solution architects, business analysts, and infrastructure teams in cross-functional environments.

• Experience supporting enterprise banking systems, core banking implementations, or financial services technology projects is preferred.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural project environments.
• Self-motivated team player capable of managing multiple priorities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (mandatory) to support Japanese clients, regional project teams, and stakeholders.
