The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects from planning to completion
- Oversee site operations, subcontractors, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and engineers
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and operational issues
- Review and approve project plans, drawings, and method statements
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure workmanship standards
- Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management
- Manage risk, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 8-15 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Experience in large-scale building or infrastructure projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations (Singapore preferred)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
