Senior Chartering Manager

To expand our Pacific footprint, we are seeking an experienced Senior Chartering Manager within the Supramax/Ultramax segments to join our team in Suntec City, Singapore.

You will play a key role in shaping and implementing our trading strategy for the fleet, focusing on maximizing earnings, securing cargoes and positioning both period and spot tonnage.

The tasks that await you

These are the core responsibilities that define the role:

• Establish, maintain and expand external as well as internal relationships.

• Maximise earnings on own tonnage.

• Create direct value doing short-term trading, tonnage procurement and cargo bookings.

• Promote cross-selling of freight solutions across all NORDEN verticals, spotting opportunities beyond your core segment.

• Analyse market research and fundamentals to formulate an actionable trading strategy.

• Partner with Operations on ongoing voyages to enhance performance and ensure clients receive high-level service

• Develop strategic trades to enable growth globally.

• Coordinate and position our fleet in close cooperation with the team and in alignment with our overall trading strategy.

Your competences and core qualifications

You work well at building professional relationships and are always on the lookout for new market leads and prospects.

You hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in Dry Cargo Chartering within the dry bulk sector, possibly from the Supramax/Ultramax segment.

Besides this you have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Pacific markets.

• Trading and optimizing earnings on tonnage and cargoes.

• Key customer relationships.

• Basic understanding of hedging and FFA.

• Business acumen.
