Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Senior Catering Sales Manager at Paradox Singapore. The role will generate, manage, and convert catering / wedding-related leads into successful events. Coordinate with clients / couples, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events while maximizing revenue and ensuring clients / couples satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed catering sales / wedding budget and increase catering / wedding bookings.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new catering / wedding business opportunities through tradeshows, networking, marketing campaigns, and community engagement.

  • Design and plan catering / wedding package that maximizes conversion rates and profitability for the hotel.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients / local wedding planners, vendors, and industry professionals to generate leads and referrals.

  • Conduct sales presentations and site tours for prospective clients / couples.

  • Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and pricing information to clients / couples to showcase the hotel's event spaces and catering options.

  • Maximize revenue potential by up-selling in all revenue-producing areas and ensuring proper utilization of function space, ballrooms, and meeting rooms.

Client Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients / couples from the initial inquiry through to the day of the event.

  • Provide personalized service to clients / couples, understanding their vision and needs to tailor proposals and services accordingly.

  • Manage all communication with clients / couples, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

  • Conduct regular follow-up to maintain engagement and satisfaction throughout the planning process.

Event Coordination:

  • Work closely with clients / couples to plan and execute events, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and other details.

  • Prepare detailed proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize bookings, ensuring all event details are accurately captured.

  • Prepare and manage Banquet Event Order (BEO), ensuring all details are documented and agreed upon by all parties.

  • Manage event prepayments, payments, and billing, ensuring timely collection of all revenue.

  • Attend or lead BEO meetings, and other relevant meetings to ensure all departments are informed about event details and last-minute changes.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop customized menus that align with clients preferences and budgets.

  • Coordinate with internal departments (culinary, banquet operations, AV, etc.) to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.

  • Oversee the setup, breakdown, and on-site management of catering / wedding events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, online content, and campaigns targeting catering / wedding clients.

  • Attend and represent the company at bridal shows, wedding expos, trade shows, industry events, networking functions and other relevant events to increase visibility and generate leads.

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry / wedding trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of client / couples interactions, sales activities, and event details using the hotel's CRM system.

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client / couple's feedback, and market trends.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in catering / wedding sales processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Other Duties:

  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Management, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to the hotel's success.
