Job Description

About Propseller

In August 2022, Propseller raised US$12M in a Series A round led by Vertex Ventures, the VC arm of Temasek, the investment company owned by the Government of Singapore.

Propseller's mission is to help people build wealth through real estate. We're building an end-to-end real estate transaction platform, and towards that goal, we began by building a technology-powered real estate brokerage that delivers superior outcomes.

By elevating the most human part of the service with top in-house agents and industrialising all the rest with technology and centralised operations, we became Singapore's most-loved real estate agency with an average Google My Business rating of 4.8/5 (900+ reviews).

The next phase of the journey is to go from helping people sell their homes to becoming the No. 1 brand for people to move from one home to the next: sell, buy, and finance.

Role Description

As Propseller scales, the complexity of our systems, workflows, and data is increasing across teams and functions. This role sits at the intersection of software, data, processes, operations, and people to ensure that systems are not only built well but also structured to scale and remain coherent across the business.

You will design and evolve the software systems that run Propseller, working across workflows, data models, automations, and integrations to ensure they fit together cleanly and support long-term growth.

This is primarily a business systems and internal tools role, operating mainly (but not only) across low-code platforms, integrations, and data systems. You will use APIs and AI where they meaningfully improve system performance and decision-making.

You will:

  • Work directly with leadership on high-impact business problems
  • Shape how software systems should be structured across workflows and teams
  • Design and build scalable workflows, data models, and automation logic
  • Make architectural trade-offs with long-term consequences
  • Ensure systems remain consistent, maintainable, and scalable over time
  • Continuously improve and evolve systems as the business grows

Duties & Responsibilities

System Architecture & Design

  • Define and evolve system structures across marketing, sales, and operations
  • Design scalable data models, workflows, and system logic across multiple use cases
  • Establish standards for system design, naming, permissions, and governance
  • Make and justify buy-vs-build and architectural decisions

System Build & Execution

  • Design and implement end-to-end systems across workflows, automations, and integrations
  • Build across existing tools (e.g. Airtable, HubSpot, Supabase, APIs, automation platforms), treating tools as implementation details
  • Lead complex initiatives from problem definition to production rollout

System Integrity & Evolution

  • Identify fragmentation, duplication, or systemic weaknesses and redesign accordingly
  • Ensure systems are observable, debuggable, and maintainable over time
  • Align systems across teams to reduce complexity and improve consistency

Collaboration & Influence

  • Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to shape how systems should evolve
  • Challenge assumptions and refine problem definitions where needed
  • Guide team members on system design decisions

What Success Looks Like

After 6-12 months:

  • Systems are more coherent, scalable, and easier to extend across teams
  • Data models support multiple use cases without duplication or inconsistency
  • Manual work is reduced through well-designed automation and structure
  • Systems scale smoothly with increasing complexity and transaction volume
  • You are owning how software systems are designed across the business

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong system designer and builder: You design and build systems that work in real-world conditions
  • Architectural thinker: You think beyond individual workflows and design for long-term scalability
  • High ownership: You take responsibility for both system design and outcomes
  • Pragmatic and thoughtful: You balance short-term needs with long-term system health
  • Business-aware: You understand how software systems impact operations, revenue, and user experience
  • Influential collaborator: You can align stakeholders and shape decisions

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Systems, Internal Tools, Product, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar roles (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Bachelor degree
  • Experience with low-code / automation tools (e.g. Airtable, Make, n8n, etc.)
  • Strong experience designing and evolving systems (data models, workflows, automations, integrations)
  • Proven ability to redesign and improve systems for scale and reliability
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong architectural thinking and decision-making ability

Nice to Have

  • Experience in operations-heavy environments
  • Experience with CRM and operational systems
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, or scripting
  • Experience applying AI to improve systems
  • Airtable certifications

You Get

  • Central office: Modern, high-ceiling office near Lavender, Bendemeer, and Farrer Park MRT.
  • Swimming pool and gym access: access to our office swimming pool and gym.
  • Modern software and hardware: MacBook Pro, Jabra Headset, fully-integrated CRM, and the latest AI-powered tools.
  • Career growth: with the potential to evolve into a Business Systems Architect or a Management position.
  • Leadership exposure: working closely with the Business Systems Manager, Director of Product, and CEO on high-impact projects.
