About the role

The Senior Business Partner, Emerging Markets exists to align people and culture strategies with business objectives across Southeast Asia, South Asia, North Asia, the Middle East and Africa. 

This role partners closely with regional leaders to build a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce that supports TWE's ambition to become the world's most desirable luxury wine company. 

The position provides strategic and operational leadership across key people areas, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance, reward, employee relations, and culture. It is responsible for designing and implementing people solutions that strengthen leadership capability, enhance the employee experience, and enable sustainable business growth. The role also leads the delivery of core people programs across the region while contributing to global people initiatives and ensuring compliance with local employment practices and regulations. Through strong commercial and people leadership, this position drives organizational capability, workforce effectiveness, and cultural alignment across the Emerging Markets region.

Business Partnership and Leadership

• Leveraging commercial knowledge of business issues and market trends, as well as expertise in capability and culture, provide HR leadership, advice and recommendations and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders

• Deliver programmes aligned to the regional People & Culture Strategic Priorities and the enterprise Global P&C Strategy

• Engage with the Global People & Culture team and/or business leads to ensure regional requirements are considered within the design and deployment of global programmes.

• Build a high performing organisation – execute strategies to constantly drive the raising of the performance bar

• Engage with the business to identify future workforce requirements and apply strategic workforce planning tools to inform overall talent strategy (buy, build, borrow) that ensures TWE is future fit

• Leadership and timely execution of cyclical people programmes including Talent Review, Performance Review and Merit Review for respective business unit client groups and support for the region

Boldly cultivate and lead change to be the world's most desirable luxury wine company

• Deliver and report against global & regionally relevant corporate and social responsibility initiatives aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Roadmap and commitments such as diversity, human rights and modern slavery

• Courageously lead and champion a broad I&D agenda for various client groups and support the region to foster a culture of inclusion, ownership, care and resilience

• Support the people and organizational change elements of business transformation in line with all legislative requirements. This includes organisation structural design and review; workforce transition/change management process and employee communications support.

Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in people practices

• Monitor and maintain TWE's compliance obligations as they relate to all relevant employee regulations in the region

• In partnership with the People Services team in Treasury Business Solutions (TBS) continuously improve and automate people processes to improve the employee and people manager experience whilst ensuring legislative requirements

Employee Relations, Compliance & Governance

• Lead ER matters, investigations and employee disputes.

• Provide advice on local employment legislation and company policies.

• Partner with Legal on high-risk employment matters.

• Maintain compliance across jurisdictions and monitor regulatory changes.

• Collaborate with the global P&C team to ensure consistency of approach and knowledge sharing

About you

• Bachelor's degree in in Business Administration, HR or related field or equivalent

• 8 years fully rounded HR experience, including accountabilities for a client group in a business partnering capacity

• Demonstrated experience working closely with a commercial and corporate businesses and translating business strategies into people plans as well as dealing with complex business and HR issues. 

• Demonstrated ability to operate inde
pendently across multiple countries and influence senior leaders in a highly matrixed regional environment.

• Proven ability to drive improved business performance through strategic HR interventions. 

• Proven experience in leading compliance and employee relations initiatives

• Ability to utilise OD tools and techniques to facilitate teams, change management and organisational design challenges

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and Asia based employment laws.

• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/work streams and deliver timely/quality results.

• Strong analytics, attention to detail and financial acumen

• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
