What You'll Do
As Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager Asia based in Singapore, you will play an integral part in shaping the future direction of the firm's Asia practice. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with senior leaders across multiple jurisdictions to design impactful strategies that drive sustainable growth.
- Design and deliver long-term marketing and business development strategies for the Singapore office and wider Asia region in close partnership with group leads and international teams.
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, campaign plans, and oversee all BD and marketing activities to ensure alignment with firmwide strategic objectives.
- Assess commercial business development opportunities through market research and analysis to maximise profitable growth while mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with partners, client development colleagues, and broader teams to institutionalise high-quality relationship management practices that drive revenue growth from existing clients.
- Lead bid management processes by creating compelling English content for proposals, presentations, capability statements, and legal directory submissionsensuring consistency across jurisdictions.
- Work closely with PR teams to set regional PR strategy; communicate key messages locally and globally through digital platforms, events, campaigns, directories, and award submissions.
- Oversee delivery of high-profile client hospitality events and knowledge programmes in Singapore to strengthen client relationships and elevate market visibility.
- Coach partners, associates, and direct reports on effective business development efforts; provide guidance on profile raising initiatives tailored to key buyer groups.
- Prepare annual BCM budgets for Singapore practice groups; review monthly expenditure against budget to ensure value-driven cost control.
- Support local staff across various business services functions by providing drafting, editing, coordination support for internal engagement initiatives including ESG (DEIB), recruitment materials, BD skills training, and communications.
What You Bring
- Demonstrable experience in business-to-business marketing, business development, and relationship management within professional services environments is essential for success in this role. Law Firm experience is desirable!
- Proven track record of working at an international firm within Asian marketsideally gained outside headquartersshowcasing adaptability to broader responsibilities supporting operational development.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) are required; experience drafting high-quality content for bids or proposals is highly advantageous.
- Excellent time management abilities coupled with attention to detail ensure accuracy across all deliverables.
- Operational acumen combined with project management skills enables effective oversight of complex initiatives spanning multiple jurisdictions.
