The company is a mid-sized, innovation-driven CDMO with established capabilities in oral solid dosage, sterile fill-finish operations, and integrated development services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify new commercial leads across US and European markets while nurturing long-term relationships with decision makers.
  • Build structured account plans, define target lists, and drive purposeful commercial campaigns aligned to market priorities.
  • Facilitate introductory conversations, capability overviews, and client visits that highlight the organisation's strengths across OSD and sterile fill-finish manufacturing.
  • Prepare well-scoped proposals and quotations and support the timely finalisation of commercial agreements.
  • Partner with operations, technical, and project teams to translate customer requirements into clear service scopes and viable project plans.
  • Monitor shifts in customer demand, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to support strategic positioning.
  • Maintain strong internal connectivity to ensure accurate communication of capability updates, project needs, and client expectations.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and strengthen delivery reliability.
  • Support strategic growth programmes designed to elevate the organisation's global commercial footprint.
  • Report commercial progress, challenges, and insights to senior leadership to guide business planning.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field such as pharmacy, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology.
  • At least 8 years of business development or commercial experience in the life sciences sector, ideally within a CDMO or CMO.
  • Strong understanding of formulation development, pharmaceutical manufacturing and associated commercial processes.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients at multiple levels.
  • Proven ability to operate independently within a lean structure and to manage cross-functional interactions with global stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20 percent to 30 percent for commercial activities.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking internal and external stakeholders and to understand product technical origins.
