Job Description
Engage in requirements gathering using various techniques such as brainstorming sessions, workshops, and questionnaires, collaborating with stakeholders across the cash management team, including Product Managers (Global and Local), Client Services, Implementation, Operations, and Finance teams.
Analyze and document the identified functional requirements and design corresponding solutions based on business needs.
Define the scope of the requirements, ensuring they are well-validated and meet business objectives.
Work closely with the Lead Business Analyst and Technology partners (e.g., Solution Architects) to finalize and agree on a suitable solution.
Act as an intermediary between business users, operations, and developers, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project goals.
Prepare and review key documents, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and participate in reviewing System Integration Test (SIT) scenarios and test cases.
Previous experience working within an Agile framework is beneficial.
Partner with different teams to support the creation of product documentation and facilitate training sessions.
Coordinate with integration partners and external vendors, ensuring smooth collaboration and integration within the bank.
Identify and resolve issues while managing project risks, and actively support various teams by organizing meetings and documenting progress.
Oversee various test phases including regression testing, integration testing, functional testing, and test automation for core banking and payment systems.
Solid understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Defect Life Cycle.
Define comprehensive functional test scenarios for core banking and payment systems to ensure accurate system functionality.
Take overall responsibility for ensuring the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all streams.
Regularly update and maintain test libraries, including test scenarios and test cases, to ensure accurate and thorough testing.
Collaborate with the SIT & UAT Testing Teams, reviewing test scenarios and test cases, and providing guidance to developers and testers in resolving any doubts about the requirements.
Record defects in a defect tracking tool, prioritizing and classifying them by severity, and promptly notifying management of any issues.
Manage test planning and ensure effective communication with stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and informed.
Prepare and present regular test result reports, keeping relevant stakeholders updated on progress.
Provide support to business users during the UAT phase, ensuring all requirements are tested and issues are resolved.
Assist the Operations team and business users in completing testing activities and addressing any testing challenges.
Lead testing efforts when necessary, particularly when issues arise, or testing is not progressing as expected.
Take charge of defect management activities, ensuring timely resolution and accurate tracking of issues.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in business analysis, particularly in Payment Systems and Core Banking applications.
Strong knowledge of payment systems, including interaction with clearing processes, payment file formats (ISO20022, SEPA Products like SCT, SDD, Instant SCT), and SWIFT (Cross Border Payments), with hands-on experience in data mapping and testing.
Practical experience with Payment Hubs, Clearing and Settlement processes, Automated Clearing House programs, and related channels.
Extensive knowledge of various payment products such as TT, RTGS, LVP, Payroll, Cheque, DD, Cashier Orders, Mass & Bulk Payments.
In-depth understanding of reporting products like Intraday/End of Period accounting statements (CAMT53, CAMT54, MT942, MT940 formats), Debit & Credit Advises (CAMT52, MT900, MT910 formats), and Payment Status Reports (XML Pain.02 format).
Proficient in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and experience with Functional and System Integration Testing (SIT) in banking and financial applications.
Familiarity with Retail Banking, Wholesale & Corporate Banking, International & Domestic Payments, Cash & Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, Trade Finance, and Payment Hub/Factory.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with testing methodologies and frameworks.
Working knowledge of ALM, QC, and JIRA, as well as experience with creating Feature files for Cucumber.
Understanding of graph-based databases (e.g., JanusGraph, Elastic Search) and event-driven platforms (e.g., Kafka) for real-time data streaming and event storage.
Proficient in using Kibana for log and time-series analytics and application monitoring.
Occasional travel may be required, but it is limited in scope.
