Business Analyst - (Portfolio Management & Analytics)
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst specialising in Portfolio Management & Analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client projects in the financial & banking sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
- Design, test, and implement processes, tools, and systems in partnership with in-house IT, risk, and finance teams, as well as external software vendors and service providers, to support front-office investment workflows.
- Develop and write test plans for system, process, and product upgrades; participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and maintain user guides and documentation for processes, tools, and systems implemented for front-office investment workflows.
- Plan and coordinate with multiple departments on implementing roadmaps for desired front-office workflows, including feature development and system upgrades.
- Ensure front-office processes and procedures meet internal standards for data integrity, security, and auditability.
- Monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot front-office processes to ensure smooth functioning; liaise with IT and external service providers for issue resolution.
- Manage project implementations with vendors and service providers, including procurement and related administrative tasks.
- Oversee change management to facilitate new product and/or system adoption, including workflow and process re-engineering as needed.
Mandatory Skills & Experience/Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a business-related or IT-related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience, including business analysis or product management of systems used in similar functions within the asset management domain.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process design, and system implementation.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of user-centric principles and/or service design.
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with cross-functional groups and influencing teams towards shared goals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with varying technical requirements and stakeholder engagement.
- Adaptability to changing business requirements and system constraints.
- Experience in developing test plans, managing testing (SIT/UAT), and supporting project implementation or enhancements.
- Experience in developing and maintaining user guides and system documentation.
- Experience in managing project scheduling and timelines for prompt completion of work tasks.
Technical Stack / Domain Knowledge
- Investment Systems: Familiarity with platforms such as Murex, SimCorp Dimension, BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, or similar.
- Markets Workflow: Understanding of public markets transaction workflows front to back office especially in fixed income and foreign exchange markets.
- Project & Process Tools: Experience with SDLC, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and change management processes.
- Testing & Documentation: Proficiency in test planning, UAT, and technical/user documentation.
