We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead and support complex data migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, data analysis, stakeholder management, and end-to-end migration projects. Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks and AI-assisted analysis tools is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for large-scale data migration and transformation projects
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to define data requirements, mappings, and transformation rules
- Gather, document, and validate functional and data requirements
- Perform data analysis, profiling, and reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance requirement gathering, documentation, and analysis
- Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings (STTM) for migration
- Support data validation, testing (UAT), and defect resolution
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement walkthroughs
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Work closely with engineering teams using modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks)
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on data migration projects
- Proven experience in: Data mapping and transformation, Data quality and reconciliation, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile certifications) are a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, especially in financial and data-intensive environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives
- Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership capabilities
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
- Hands-on or working knowledge of Databricks
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Domain knowledge in large enterprise systems or financial systems
