Senior Business Analyst (Automation & Core Banking)

Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve core banking processes and banking operations to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and service improvement.
• Lead business process analysis, process mapping, workflow re-engineering, and optimisation across banking functions.
• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process assessments.
• Translate business needs into clear solution designs, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories for technology teams.
• Identify and support Automation, Robotics, and RPA initiatives, evaluating processes suitable for automation and defining business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with business users, technology teams, product owners, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
• Facilitate workshops and drive requirements elicitation, gap analysis, impact assessments, and solution validation.
• Support end-to-end delivery of banking transformation programmes, including process redesign, implementation, testing, and transition to operations.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve requirements-related issues, and ensure effective communication across business and technology teams.
• Support UAT, implementation, change management, and post-implementation validation to ensure solutions meet defined business requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within banking, financial services, or core banking environments.
• Strong understanding of core banking systems, banking operations, and end-to-end banking processes.
• Hands-on experience in business process analysis, workflow re-engineering, process mapping, and process optimisation.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, business requirements documentation, functional specifications, and solution design.
• Experience supporting or delivering Automation, Robotics, RPA, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
• Experience working on banking transformation programmes, process improvement initiatives, or large-scale technology change projects.
• Ability to conduct gap analysis, impact assessment, business case analysis, and solution evaluation.
• Experience with Agile and/or traditional project delivery methodologies and familiarity with BA tools and techniques.
