Responsibilities:
- Lead the review, monitoring, and control of project budgets, costs, and financial performance, identifying risks, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Review, verify, and approve project budget revisions, variation orders, and SWO/MSO payment certificates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Prepare, analyse, and consolidate cost control and management reports for the Finance Department and Parent Company, highlighting irregularities and recommending corrective actions in collaboration with project teams
- Ensure project teams and subsidiaries adhere to established financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Provide functional guidance and oversight to subsidiaries BCD personnel and site finance officers in support of Finance Department requirements
- Conduct joint cost reviews and financial performance assessments with project teams
- Liaise with external auditors and coordinate responses to audit queries and follow‑up actions
- Act as liaison with Parent Company in Japan, preparing and submitting periodic budget, cost, and performance reports, and ensuring alignment with Japanese corporate reporting standards and timelines
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
Pre-requisites:
- Degree in Engineering or Finance
- Minimum 15 years of experience in budget control, cost management, or project finance for construction project‑ or site‑based environments
- Business proficiency in Japanese language to support reporting, coordination, and communication with our Parent Company in Japan
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP
