join its biologics manufacturing team in Singapore. This is a 12-month contract role offering the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge biologics production in a dynamic and regulated environment.
Role Overview
As a Biotechnologist, you will be responsible for executing and supporting cGMP manufacturing operations within a state-of-the-art biologics facility. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and compliance of production processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute upstream and downstream manufacturing processes, including:
- Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale)
- Buffer and media preparation
- Column chromatography
- Tangential flow filtration
- Sampling of in-process and raw materials
- Operate and monitor automated control systems and equipment (e.g., LIMS, SAP)
- Perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance
- Conduct quality testing and rework activities
- Review batch records and worksheets for accuracy and completeness
- Support investigations and resolve processing anomalies
- Participate in internal and external audits and inspections
- Manage documentation and demand work orders
- Lead shift activities when required and assign tasks within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in biologics manufacturing, with expertise in either upstream or downstream processes
- Solid understanding of cGMP regulations and manufacturing documentation
- Proficiency in automated systems and data collection tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in troubleshooting and process optimization
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and audit readiness
