About the Role
The Senior BIM Engineer is responsible for leading BIM modelling, coordination, and technical delivery for complex data centre infrastructure projects. This role supports the full project lifecyclefrom design development through construction executionby ensuring accurate, coordinated, and buildable BIM outputs across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The position also plays a mentoring role, supporting junior BIM resources and contributing technical expertise to project teams across the APAC region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination, and management of BIM 3D models for data centre projects.
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM tools.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP models to ensure seamless integration.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks or equivalent software.
- Ensure BIM deliverables comply with client requirements, project specifications, and international standards.
- Support project managers with technical coordination, constructability input, and design reviews.
- Maintain version control, documentation, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare working drawings to support site installation and construction activities.
- Train, guide, and mentor junior BIM engineers and technicians.
- Represent the business professionally when engaging with internal teams, clients, consultants, and third parties.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with data protection, information security, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of BIM engineering experience, preferably within data centre or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in cold aisle / hot aisle containment drawings and cable support system (CSS) modelling is highly desired.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems and construction workflows.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Certification in advanced CAD/BIM tools and methodologies is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical detailing.
- Willing to travel if required.
