Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Architect with 10 years of IT experience and at least 4 years of hands-on expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale AVD environments while ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Architect and support Host Pools, Workspaces, Application Groups, FSLogix, and MSIX App Attach.
- Perform advanced L3 troubleshooting for login, connectivity, performance, and application issues.
- Manage golden images, autoscaling, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Implement infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
- Integrate and support Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, and endpoint management.
- Monitor, optimize, and secure AVD environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure security best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10 years of overall IT experience with 4+ years of hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop experience.
- Strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop, FSLogix, MSIX App Attach, and multi-session Windows.
- Experience with Azure networking, storage, identity, and security services.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Terraform; Azure DevOps experience is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and enterprise infrastructure design skills.
- Experience with VMware Horizon or Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops is an added advantage.
