Job Description:

  • Seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to join the company Cybersecurity Lab team. This role will focus on offensive and defensive security activities for automotive systems, including penetration testing, fuzzing, vulnerability analysis, and patch development. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in embedded systems security, a deep understanding of cybersecurity attack and defense techniques, and the ability to work across the full technology stack-from firmware and OS internals to application and cloud integration
  • Lead and execute security testing on in-vehicle systems, ECUs, and connected automotive components, including penetration testing, fuzz testing, and reverse engineering.
  • Perform vulnerability analysis on automotive hardware, firmware, middleware, and application layers.
  • Develop and validate security patches and remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
  • Build and maintain lab infrastructure for automotive cybersecurity testing (e.g., test benches, network simulators, custom tooling).
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and cloud teams to ensure security issues are resolved effectively.
  • Research and evaluate new cyber-attack techniques, tools, and exploits relevant to automotive systems.
  • Create custom security tools (scripts, automation, dashboards) to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers in cybersecurity best practices.
  • Contribute to security architecture discussions and security-by-design reviews for automotive products.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in automotive, embedded, or IoT security.
  • Proven experience in pentesting, fuzzing, reverse engineering, and vulnerability exploitation.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems (MCUs, SoCs, automotive ECUs) and related Oss (Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR).
  • Solid understanding of secure coding, cryptographic principles, and common automotive security standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155).
  • Hands-on skills in programming/scripting languages (Python, C/C++, JavaScript, Bash, etc.).
  • Familiarity with full-stack development concepts for security testing (frontend, backend, databases, APIs, cloud).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a lab environment.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and automotive communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of cloud-connected vehicle systems and over-the-air (OTA) update security.
  • Prior contribution to security tooling or open-source projects.
  • Security certifications (OSCP, GXPN, CEH, CISSP, etc.) are a plus.
