Senior Automation Engineer /Principal (Robotics/AGV System)

Role Overview

As a key member of our Global Automation & Integration Service team, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) driving high-impact projects for WuXi Biologics. You will spearhead the end-to-end lifecycle,from initial design to final qualification of advanced AGV, AMR, ASRS, and Robotic systems across our global production plants and warehouses.

Scope of work :

• Work as SME to lead the design and implementation of AGV/AMR/ASRS and Robotic automation system for production plants and warehouse

• Lead system URS drafting and review to ensure all user inputs are consolidated and documented.

• Lead and follow up system design review to ensure all URS requirements are considered and implemented.

• Coordinate and participate system FATs and ensure the full functions from the design are successfully tested/validated.

• Lead & coordinate AGV/AMR/Robotic system site installations, commissioning and qualifications as per project plan and timeline. This includes management of System Integrators (SIs) and other related suppliers/contractors.

• Initiate & lead continuous improvement activities post-project and implementing change control process to continuously improve the systems to meet the customer and regulatory requirements with focus on AGV/AMR/ASRS and Robotic systems.

Requirement :

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Chemical, Robotics / Mechatronics, Electrical, Electrical & Instrument) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Prior working experience on implementation on AGV/AMR/Robotics/warehouse automation, material handling and other relevant applications.

• Familiar with at least one major brand PLC and with hand-on knowledge on its development, integration strategies and industrial communication protocols.

• Familiar with at least 1 core programming language for AGV/AMR/Robotic development (C++, Python, Java or robotics software framework).

• Experience on working principal on AGV fleet management, vision systems and navigation.

• Able to work cross-department and work with multi-discipline to drive project to success.

• Able to travel to overseas for project support with good adaptability to local culture and way of working.

• Able to communicate and work across different regions and different time zones.
