Work you'll do

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Associate/Assistant Manager to lead the end-to-end coordination of statutory audits and to strengthen day-to-day financial accounting operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant statutory reporting, maintaining robust balance sheet governance, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external auditors to deliver a smooth audit process.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will drive month-end and year-end close, prepare statutory financial statements and audit schedules, manage key reconciliations, and support tax and regulatory compliance. Strong communication and project management skills are essential to coordinate requests, resolve audit issues promptly, and continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Job Description

  • Statutory audit lead: Coordinate the annual statutory audit end-to-end, including planning, audit timeline management, PBC (prepared-by-client) coordination, and timely resolution of audit queries.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and related disclosures, and ensure alignment to trial balance and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in MAS quarterly reporting and bank compliance test
  • Support government incentive application by preparing and tracking the actual results of the approved legal entities against the approved submission figures.
  • Prepare and support the Annual Budget and Government Statistic Surveys.
  • Maintain the general ledger integrity by reviewing account movements, investigating variances, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform timely balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., cash, AR/AP, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany) and maintain clear supporting schedules.
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., PTP, CTC, Treasury, InterFirm and Controllership teams) to resolve accounting issues, improve close quality, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provide ad-hoc accounting support, including analysis, reconciliations, and support for system/process improvements to drive efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 4 - 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on involvement in statutory audits and preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/local GAAP), month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit deliverables.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail; comfortable working with auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
