About the Practice

An international design practice specializing in landscape architecture, urban design and masterplanning, with studios across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The practice has a strong portfolio of luxury hospitality, resort and residential projects across international markets.

The Opportunity

The practice is looking for an experienced Associate-level Masterplanner to strengthen its masterplanning capability in Singapore.

We are seeking an architect, landscape architect, urban designer or planner with strong experience in resort, hospitality or low-density residential masterplanning.

This is not a traditional landscape architecture role. You will focus on the overall site and development strategy — determining what can be developed, where buildings and villas should sit, how the site functions and how the development can be phased.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to masterplanning and site-planning studies for luxury hospitality, resort and low-density residential projects.
• Develop site strategies, yield and density studies, land-use plans and development options.
• Plan the siting of villas, buildings and amenities in response to topography, views, orientation, privacy and environmental conditions.
• Develop guest, staff and back-of-house/service circulation strategies.
• Contribute to grading, cut-and-fill, drainage and infrastructure strategies with consultants.
• Develop feasibility studies, phasing strategies and client presentations.
• Present proposals to owners, operators and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, engineers, ecologists and hotel operator teams.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to developing the practice's masterplanning capability.
• Collaborate with the firm's international studios on projects across Asia, the Middle East and other global markets.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, depending on the strength of the candidate's portfolio.
• Proven experience in masterplanning / site planning, ideally across luxury hospitality, resorts or low-density residential.
• Strong understanding of resort and villa siting, yield, density, feasibility, circulation and development phasing.
• Experience working with complex natural sites such as coastal, island, hillside, forest or desert environments is highly desirable.
• Experience working with international hotel operators is an advantage.
• Strong client-facing, presentation and communication skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating planning and design reasoning, including site studies, options, sections, diagrams or yield studies — not just visual imagery.
