Senior Associate, Finance & Operations (Private Equity)

About the company

Our client is an established, Asia-focused private equity asset manager. With funds domiciled in Singapore and the Cayman Islands, they offer a lean, hands-on environment where the finance team works closely with the investment side.

What you'll do:

1. Investment support: Support due diligence on new and existing investments, including ongoing monitoring and assessing valuation, tax, AML/KYC and accounting-standard impacts
2. Reporting: Review monthly NAV reports, quarterly investor reports, capital statements and management accounts for the funds and the investment manager
3. Operations and treasury: Handle cash management and timely settlement of invoices and investments across public securities and private deals set up and run operational requirements for new transactions
4. Capital activity: Process capital calls and distributions, prepare fund documents and coordinate expense payments
5. Tax: Manage annual tax filings and FATCA/CRS reporting, particularly for Singapore and Cayman entities
6. Audit and compliance: Coordinate annual external audits, internal audits and ad-hoc reviews for the funds and the manager
7. Documentation: Make sure corporate, fund and transaction documents are properly executed and filed
8. Take on ad-hoc projects as the business grows

Requirement

• Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA) preferred but not required
• At least 5 years experience in a financial institution or asset manager, ideally with a focus on private credit and/or private equity
• Background from a Big 4 financial services audit team, a fund administrator, or a fund accounting role at a buy-side private or alternative asset manager is highly regarded
• Hands-on experience with settlements and treasury loan administration exposure is a plus
• Fund structuring experience is a strong advantage
