Role Description:

  • Accept and tie-out Equity Portfolio baskets for Japanese Domestic Clients, across the Asia Pacific Markets, execute according to client instructions, while adhering to market specific restrictions.
  • Communicate with Japanese clients on execution progress, market colour and relevant daily news.
  • Understand the various Algorithmic trading capabilities of the platform, and implement customizable workflows as required.
  • Work closely with other team members to monitor trades, reducing risk across the desk.
  • Read real-time order progression, with knowledge of Maker/Taker tactics, layering, and other market signals.
  • Utilise Post-Trade/TCA to analyse and succinctly explain execution performance to global coverage and clients.
  • Cross-border selling the wider corporate product to existing and prospective clients, with a view to opening new business streams.
  • Work together with regional High-Touch and Electronic teams, providing liquidity to assist ingrowing those business and developing the overall client franchise.
  • Stay current in Equity Trading Market Microstructure, with the ability to present any relevant changes to other team members, global desks and clients.
  • Understand various market settlements and following up with settlement team to ensure a smooth experience for the client.

Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:

  • At least 1 year working in Portfolio Trading environment
  • Basic knowledge of Algorithmic trading suite, with at least 1 year experience customizing workflows to meet ad-hoc requirements
  • At least 3 years of covering Japanese client
  • Basic understanding of regional Market Microstructure, individualmarket timing specifics and settlements.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to operate in a high pressure environment with a risk aware mindset
