Job Purpose
The Senior Associate/AVP, Investments supports the investments team in sourcing, analyzing, executing, and monitoring investment opportunities. This role involves deep financial analysis, market research, due diligence, and ongoing portfolio support. The Senior Associate/AVP works closely with senior investment professionals and plays a key role in deal execution and decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO where applicable).
- Analyze financial statements, business models, and industry dynamics.
- Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for investment committees.
Deal Execution
- Support transaction execution from initial screening through closing.
- Coordinate with external advisors (bankers, consultants, legal counsel, auditors).
- Assist in negotiating transaction terms and documentation.
Market & Industry Research
- Research industries, markets, and competitive landscapes.
- Track market trends, valuation benchmarks, and comparable transactions.
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio company performance against investment theses.
- Assist with portfolio company reporting and board materials.
- Support value-creation initiatives and strategic projects.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Partners, Principals, and Analysts.
- Contribute to investment strategy discussions and team meetings.
- Help improve internal processes, tools, and research databases.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline such as Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA) would be an advantage.
Experience
- Min. 4 years of relevant experience in asset management, private banking, or a related investment advisory environment.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling and valuation techniques.
Domain Skills
- Investment expertise - should have an excellent grasp of the differences between investment-related products and how they can support client goals.
- Client service - should be able to understand a client's goals and make financial decisions that support both long- and short-term investment objectives.
- Familiarity with financial regulations - should possess a high level of knowledge regarding financial laws and procedures to protect client investments and ensure that they are making proper decisions.
