Job Summary
This full-time on-site role is ideal for an early-career fixed income professional (3-5 years experience) with a keen interest in fixed-income markets. You will work alongside senior sales professionals to service institutional clients, execute trades and support day-to-day desk operations. The role combines client-facing interaction, market analysis and trade execution, providing an excellent platform to build a long-term career in sales & trading.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior sales professionals to maintain and expand relationships with asset managers, private banks, and hedge funds, driving client engagement and business growth
- Coordinate with traders to quote, confirm, and book trades accurately, ensuring efficient trade execution
- Monitor order status and proactively manage trade settlements to meet deadlines and reduce operational risk
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Bloomberg and internal systems to support desk transparency and compliance
- Generate profit and loss reports to analyze desk performance and inform decision-making
- Ensure all client interactions and trade bookings comply with MAS regulations and internal company policies to uphold regulatory standards
- Liaise with middle-office teams to identify and resolve breaks or settlement issues promptly, minimizing disruptions
- Execute ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisors to support desk operations and team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in financial markets, with exposure to sales or trading considered an advantage
- Proficient in Excel and Bloomberg to analyze data and support trading activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills to interpret market data and support trading decisions
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
