Nanyang Business School invites applications for a Senior Assistant Manager, Dean's Office Coordination.
Reporting directly to the Dean, this role provides coordination and analytical support to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Dean's Office. The position supports governance processes, institutional coordination and selected school-level initiatives. The job holder will work closely with academic leaders, faculty members and corporate services units to support decision making, administrative operations and implementation of initiatives within the School.
This role is suited for individuals who are organised, analytical and able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide secretariat support for meetings chaired by the Dean, including preparation of materials, drafting minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
Conduct research and benchmarking on trends within the Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) landscape and academic programmes at NTU and peer universities.
Collect, consolidate and analyse data relating to academic programmes and institutional metrics to support leadership discussions and planning.
Provide administrative coordination for the Dean's grant applications, including tracking timelines, coordinating documentation and liaising with co-applicants.
Coordinate operational matters within the Dean's Office and ensure alignment with university administrative policies and procedures.
Support governance processes by maintaining proper documentation and facilitating coordination of matters routed through the Dean's Office.
Liaise with academic divisions, corporate services units and central administrative offices to facilitate implementation of initiatives and administrative matters.
Coordinate institutional engagements and visits involving the Dean and external partners.
Support school-level initiatives such as NBS Knowledge Management and administrative process improvement efforts.
Requirements:
Must Have
Bachelor's degree from a recognised university
At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in administration, project coordination or institutional support roles
Strong organisational and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good to Have
Experience working in higher education institutions or academic environments
Experience supporting senior leadership or executive offices
Familiarity with data analysis, reporting or benchmarking exercises
