Senior Assistant Manager/Assistant Manager, Research

The Senior Assistant Manager/ Assistant Manager will be mainly responsible for research lab setup, lab operations, compliance and regulatory. This role also requires project management, stakeholder engagement and strong written and presentation skills.

Lab Setup and Management
General laboratory research operations for ACP Office - Research, with duties to be adjusted based on programme needs and approved priorities.

• Laboratory setup and development
• Support laboratory-related research operationsin the new NDCS building, workflow coordination and follow-up across relevantprojects.
• Work with investigators, research teams andstakeholders to facilitate timely delivery of research activities.
• Assist with documentation, reporting,procurement/vendor coordination and other operational requirements.
• Support compliance, safety and governancematters in coordination with relevant institutional offices.
• Undertake other duties assigned to meet evolvingresearch and operational priorities.

Other Duties (that may or may not include)

• Execute grant calls end-to-end: plan timelines, publish calls, manage applications, coordinate peer review and notify awardees.
• Track grant utilisation and budgets: maintain speed records, liaise with finance and flag variances.
• Support publicity initiatives: conducting research lunch talks, preparation of pitch decks.
• Provide administrative and secretarial support: prepare briefings, manage action items and schedule meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in relevant discipline
• At least 2-4 years experience in research lab setup and operations
• At least 1-2 years experience in grants management or/and communications
• Familiar with software like SAP and Ariba
