Primary Responsibilities
Planning, Reporting & Expense Management
- Support the monthly and quarterly reporting processes to track departmental performance, resource utilization, and profitability (e.g., Entertainment & Gift control, resource & profitability tracking).
- Manage expense-related tasks including processing monthly payments, reimbursements, forecasting budgets, and variance analysis.
- Support planning initiatives such as KPI setting, tracking, and deal pipeline consolidation.
Administrative Coordination
- Facilitate internal administrative processes including business trip arrangements, seat bookings, ID card applications, and other logistical support.
- Support the due date tracking for customer-related items (e.g., expired licenses, pending documents) in line with internal procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures across planning and administrative tasks.
Ad-hoc Planning Projects
- Execute special planning assignments as directed by supervisors or general managers, contributing to business promotion and operational efficiency.
Secondary Responsibility: Support to Relationship Managers
Pre-Deal & Execution Support
- Assist with deal pipeline maintenance, profitability analysis, and preparation of account plans and call reports.
- Coordinate transaction execution with clients and internal/external stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Documentation, and Credit Middle Office.
Documentation & Account Maintenance
- Support documentation processes for loans, ISDA agreements, NDAs, and account openings.
- Ensure accurate system updates for client limits and administrative changes.
Risk & Compliance
- Demonstrate strong ownership of risk and compliance responsibilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SMBC policies, regulatory requirements, and APAC market standards.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal controls and legal frameworks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in planning, budgeting, client service, or junior RM roles within international banks or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with loan syndications, transaction banking, global markets, and liability management.
- Strong understanding of planning processes, client delivery standards, and cross-product operations.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of risk and compliance responsibilities
- Work effectively across departments and with overseas branches to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
- Proactively contribute to process improvements and innovation in planning and client service delivery.
