Analyze and assess risks in commercial contract terms by comparing purchase and sale contract conditions with PTT's and affiliates rules and regulations, then determine preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Prepare purchase and sale contracts for counterparties of PTT and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with commercial terms, criteria, regulations, and the commercial conditions agreed by the Front Office (Deal Done, Trading Ticket).
Negotiate non-commercial contract terms with counterparties to ensure alignment with PTT's and subsidiaries rules and regulations, in coordination with Legal, External Legal Counsel, Accounting, Finance, and the Front Office.
Confirm commercial contracts with counterparties according to commercial terms and relevant regulations.
Report potential contractual risks to supervisors and related departments and jointly develop appropriate solutions in line with corporate rules and regulations.
Review and update commercial contracts to align with PTT's General Terms and Conditions.
Track changes in standard contract frameworks and update contracts, accordingly, coordinate with counterparties and related units to propose revisions.
Manage purchase and sale contracts for the Front Office (petroleum and gas procurement and trading) to ensure appropriateness and accuracy.
Provide consultation and guidance to internal departments and subsidiaries regarding contract preparation based on established contract standards. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Successful negotiation of international commercial purchase/sale contracts that maximize organizational benefit.
Uphold and enforce the organization's business ethics by performing duties with transparency and ensuring auditability.
Other assigned tasks related to contract management, if any.
Job Requirements
Minimum master's degree in business or equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 years of experience in handling trading contracts.
Proficiency in Thai language as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.
Special knowledge: PTT credit policy / TBU risk management policy / TBU operation / credit policy in general.
Balancing contractual risk management with international trade practices.
Working under tight deadlines.
Negotiating non-commercial terms after commercial terms have already been agreed.
Understanding international law, counterparty country regulations, and rules of international related organizations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word.
Good communication skills.
Analyzing contract terms and conditions, identify risks and re draft accordingly.
Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
Have knowledge and good understanding about commodity trading (especially oil and gas).
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
