About the Role
We are seeking a skilled AI/Machine Learning Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data and ML infrastructure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with feature stores, data platforms, and ML infrastructure components, along with a strong grasp of the AI/ML lifecycle and MLOps best practices. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven innovation and supporting end-to-end machine learning operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain machine learning platforms, including feature stores and supporting data infrastructure.
- Work with specialized databases such as vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Milvus), graph databases (e.g., Neo4j), and time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, Prometheus).
- Build and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using tools like BigQuery, HBase, Aerospike, Kafka, Flink, or Spark (Dataproc).
- Implement and maintain MLOps workflows, including model deployment, serving, and monitoring across production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability, governance, access control, and privacy compliance within ML and data platforms.
- Contribute to the design, scaling, and optimization of AI/ML infrastructure in public cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Engage with the open-source community by contributing to ML infrastructure or data platform projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) or Python.
- Experience working with machine learning platforms, feature stores, or large-scale data systems.
- Practical experience with streaming and batch data processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark).
- Solid understanding of the AI/ML development lifecycle and MLOps principles.
- Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with vector, graph, or time-series databases.
- Knowledge of data governance, access control, and privacy compliance within ML/data platforms.
- Contributions to open-source ML or data infrastructure projects.
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
