Responsible for month-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accounting reconciliations and accounting schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review financial transactions and accounting entries prepared by junior finance staff to ensure accurate recording of supplier invoices in the accounting system, with proper supporting documentation and approvals in accordance with the authority matrix.
Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including checking and reconciliation of outlet sales and revenue, as well as processing of payments.
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any variances identified.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Assist in GST matters, including preparation of quarterly GST reports and timely submission of GST F5 returns.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities (e.g. IRAS), including preparation of requested documents and support in responding to queries.
Provide finance-related support and guidance to cross-functional departments in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
