Job Summary
Lead accounting operations and compliance for multiple entities across Malaysia and Singapore, driving accurate financial reporting and regulatory adherence while managing a small team to support business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for three Malaysian entities and partial accounting for one Singapore entity to ensure accurate financial records
- Lead and develop a small accounting team to deliver timely and precise accounting activities
- Oversee and execute the annual statutory audit process and local statutory compliance submissions for Malaysian entities, ensuring deadlines and regulatory requirements are met
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to resolve audit and compliance matters efficiently
- Review invoices and payments to verify correct posting in accounting systems, maintaining data integrity
- Prepare and submit monthly financial statements and management reports accurately and on schedule to support informed decision-making
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct annual inventory counts to validate asset records and support financial accuracy
- Execute additional ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks as assigned to support business needs
Requirement
- Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience with experience in full set accounts
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Possess initiative and ability to multitask
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Ability to adapt to change under pressure & work in a fast pace environment
- Good command of English (both written and spoken)
