Job Summary
You will manage financial operations for construction projects, ensuring accurate invoicing, payment processing, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will deliver insightful financial reports to support management decision-making and contribute to the company's financial integrity and growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and send accurate invoices to customers for construction projects to ensure timely revenue collection
- Manage customer accounts by monitoring outstanding payments and conducting follow-ups to optimize cash flow
- Handle cash receipts and deposits to maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure account accuracy
- Process supplier invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timely disbursement
- Coordinate vendor relationships to facilitate smooth payment processes and maintain positive partnerships
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports to verify transaction accuracy
- Maintain up-to-date general ledger records to support accurate financial reporting
- Process accounting transactions, including journal entries, to reflect business activities correctly
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures to ensure timely financial close
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to verify balances and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and submit GST returns to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) to ensure tax compliance
- Maintain GST records and monitor regulatory changes to uphold compliance standards
- Generate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to provide management with actionable insights
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports to support strategic decision-making by management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or diploma in accountancy or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to the construction sector
- Prior experience with IFCA accounting software is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous approach to financial data management
