Job Description

WE'RE HIRING | Senior Accounts Executive / Assistant Finance Manager | Singapore

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Executive / Assistant Finance Manager to manage and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) operations, monthly closing activities, audits, reconciliations, and finance reporting. The role will also provide guidance to the finance team and work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth and accurate finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) process, including invoice processing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and related documentation.
  • Review AP batches, journals, payments, manual invoices, and monthly schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support and coordinate the monthly closing process, including review of Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Review collection and payment batches and ensure timely processing.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, including BS, P&L and tax-related schedules.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution and follow-up of audit points.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Lead, guide, mentor, and support the Finance/AP team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve escalated payment issues and disputes.
  • Identify process improvements and support the implementation of best practices within Finance/AP operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and AP-related issues.
  • Provide support to other business units during urgent requirements and handle ad-hoc finance projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 5–7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, invoice processing, payment cycles, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), Google Workspace, and Accpac.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
