Job Responsibilities
- Manage full-set accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee and perform timely month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports in compliance with IFRS/SFRS standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and other tax filings accurately and on time.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities provide audit schedules and supporting documentation as required.
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances to ensure proper consolidation and reporting.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business planning, decision-making, and strategic initiatives.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Support senior management with financial insights, reporting, and ad hoc analysis as required.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff where applicable
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling full-set accounts and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/SFRS and statutory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with GST preparation and submission, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
- Solid understanding of General Ledger, AP/AR processes, bank reconciliation, and intercompany transactions.
- Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP). Experience with SAP systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and internal controls.
