Our client, a global healthcare solutions provider supporting pharmaceutical products and market access across multiple regions, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support it's growing operations in Southeast Asia.
This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end finance operations with strong exposure to international trade, import/export activities, multi-currency transactions, and group consolidation, working closely with regional and headquarters stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Handle financial accounting for the company's international trading operations, including month-end closing and reconciliations.
- Prepare group consolidation and consolidated financial reports, coordinating with regional entities and headquarters.
- Support cross-border transactions, inter-company settlements, and multi-currency reconciliations.
- Handle finance matters related to import/export activities, including landed cost allocation, customs duties, and trade documentation reconciliation.
- Monitor foreign exchange transactions and support FX exposure reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Support the setup of new finance processes, accounting functions, and regional entities as the business expands.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred.
- At Least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a regional or cross-border environment.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical company or pharmaceutical distributor strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience in group consolidation and inter-company accounting.
- Exposure to import/export or trade finance operations is advantageous.
- Experience in setting up new finance function and assist in setting up new regional entities.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced and growing environment.
