About Our Client
Our client is a well-established family office seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support the financial operations and investment accounting for the firm. This role offers exposure to both corporate accounting and fund accounting activities across multiple asset classes and entities.
Job Description
Corporate Accounting
- Manage general ledger activities for operating entities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors
- Assist with tax compliance and coordination with external tax advisors
Fund & Investment Accounting
- Maintain accounting records for private investment vehicles
- Record capital calls, distributions, investment purchases and dispositions
- Calculate NAV and investor allocations (as applicable)
- Track performance metrics and maintain investment schedules
- Coordinate with fund administrators and custodians
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting, private equity, hedge fund, or family office experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and investment accounting principles
- Experience with multi-entity structures and complex ownership arrangements
- High level of discretion and professionalism
