Senior Accountant (FACT System/JSOX Audits)
Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for two entities, including preparation and submission of actual results and financial reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing to Japan HQ.
- Oversee the complete financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to both management and HQ within established deadlines.
- Review and manage balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and confirmations.
- Administer company assets, including fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset verification.
- Prepare forecasts and budgets, with supporting documentation, justifications, and detailed commentaries.
- Compile audit and tax schedules, and liaise with external auditors and tax agents on all audit and tax-related matters.
- Handle statutory reporting including quarterly GST filing, Withholding Tax submissions, XBRL filings for ACRA, and responses to government statistics surveys.
- Conduct JSOX audits and ensure compliance with JSOX requirements.
- Manage and maintain the Accounting System (FACT System).
- Assist in overseeing the Accounts Department and collaborate closely with internal teams on financial accounting issues.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff in their daily duties.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as required.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification with at least 5 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing company is required
- Good communication skill, dynamic and a good team player
- Strong in excel and accounting system
- Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
