Senior Accountant (Construction Industry)

Job Summary :

Specialising in building construction, interior works, and innovative building product solutions. The company operates as a general contractor, delivering a range of services including construction, renovation, interior finishing, and related manufacturing activities.

Oversee the full spectrum of finance functions and support business growth in a project-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities :

• Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, and month-end/year-end closing

• Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and financial manuals

• Lead and manage the Accounts team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance development

• Prepare timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis (budget vs actual)

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting exercises, including presentation to Management and Shareholders

• Perform financial analysis and cost-benefit evaluation to support strategic decisions

• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and financial planning

• Support business strategies including project feasibility studies and due diligence

• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (BCA, ACRA, IRAS, URA)

• Strengthen internal controls and drive continuous process improvement

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in project-based / construction / interior fit-out environment

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management

• Experience in project costing, revenue recognition, or WIP accounting will be an added advantage

• Familiar with Singapore regulatory requirements (ACRA, IRAS, GST, etc.)

• Leadership experience with ability to manage a small team
