Job Summary: As a Senior Accountant in our Singapore office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations for Singapore entities.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
This role is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Management Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and IFRS.
- Lead monthly GL close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Provide variance analysis, cost tracking, and financial performance reports to regional and global finance teams.
Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) reporting requirements.
- Support regulatory filings including MAS 610, statutory returns, and tax compliance.
- Assist in the preparation and review of internal controls and policies to meet both local and global regulatory standards.
Audit, Tax & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders for statutory audits and tax filings.
- Ensure robust internal control frameworks, including documentation, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Support corporate income tax, GST returns, and transfer pricing documentation.
Financial Analysis
The ideal candidate should have experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx to:
- Analyze complex datasets and identify key business insights
- Create compelling and interactive data visualizations
- Automate workflows and reporting processes to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable dashboards and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA / CA (Singapore) / ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
- 710 years of total experience, with at least 24 years in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Prior experience in brokerage, financial services, or capital markets industry preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
