Core Responsibilities & Duties
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts monthly to maintain accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Audit Coordination: Prepare documentation for external auditors and assist in running audits.
- Cost Management: Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records meet established standards and criteria.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
Financial & Management Accounting:
- Assist with all aspects of the month-end closing process, including working closely with cross functional teams to ensure timely and accurate close in compliance to IFRS
- Prepare and review journal entries for accrued/deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, work in progress, IMDA grants, etc.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes and controls as required
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and actual vs. budget reports
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Other ad hoc tasks as directed
Treasury, Taxation & Risk:
- Preparation of weekly rolling 13-week cash flow forecast,
- Assisting with management of tax compliance, as required,
- Assisting with IMDA and other grants as required,
- Other ad hoc task as directed
Production Specific:
- Coordinate the collection all Royalty receivables
- Managing third part reporting and residuals obligations
- Other ad hoc task as directed
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Proven SAP (FI/CO) experience.
- Strong track record in percentage-of-completion (POC) project accounting and IFRS 15.
Plus Points:
- Media/production or project-based industry background.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (or related).
- At least 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience
